Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix joined Barcelona on transfer deadline-day, with Barca signing both players on a season-long loan deal.
Barcelona were linked with both players during the summer transfer window, but had to wait until the final moments of the summer transfer window to secure their services.
The two Joaos have started their season at Barcelona extremely well, with Barca winning their last two matches 5-0, since they joined the club.
Reports claim that Barca will hope to sign the duo permanently. However, it may cost a lot of money.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will need to fork out €80 million to sign Joao Felix and €25 million to Cancelo.
Felix who played on loan for Chelsea last season, had fallen out with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
Atletico Madrid will now demand €80 million to part ways with Joao Felix in the 2024 summer transfer window.
Xavi reserved high praise for the two Joaos after Barcelona beat Real Betis 5-0.
“The Joaos? We are talking about two players whose level of individual quality is never in doubt,” Xavi told the media after the game.
“You see them train and you realise their greatness. You have to manage them properly.”
