Just after the 5-0 win over Real Betis, Xavi sang the praise of young midfielder Gavi, and called him the heart of the Barcelona team.

Xavi however was a bit cautionary when speaking about the teenager following his performance against Antwerp.

Gavi was his usual bustling self, and he picked up an early yellow card and was close to being sent off.

Xavi admits that Gavi needs to slow down a bit on his pressing, as he goes out of position a lot. Xavi says this is the only negative about the young midfielder.

“Gavi is a very dynamic player, but he struggles to keep his position,” Xavi told the media after Barcelona beat Antwerp 5-0 in the Champions League.

“He can run and press three players in a row, and sometimes we have to stop him.”
