Ferran Torres has been one of Barcelona’s best players this season.

Torres who had struggled to impress in a Barca shirt, now looks like a different player.

Everyone may be surprised at his rise in form, but Xavi and Torres himself don’t seem to be.

According to Xavi, Torres vowed during pre-season to put in the work, which he did.

“In June, Ferran Torres told me that he needed to have a great pre-season, and he was right,” Xavi said in a media briefing.

“We have given him the necessary time to demonstrate his intention of wanting to do well. His attitude and hard work have always been there.

“He is and will be important for us.”
