Xavi has revealed how impressed he is with Barcelona midfielder Gavi.

The 19-year-old played the entire minutes against Real Betis, and despite not scoring a goal in the 5-0 rout, Xavi was impressed with the youngster.

Xavi has called Gavi the heart of the Barcelona team.

Xavi said: “It’s hard for me to take Gavi off the pitch. He’s fast, he makes recoveries, great pressure.

“Gavi is the heart of the team, he is a fundamental player. Many said that he was going to play less this season, but he is an exemplary footballer.”
