Barcelona signed Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque this summer and loaned him back to Athletico Paranaense.

The young striker is expected to join Barca in 2024, when the club can register him.

There have been rumours that Barca may not be able to register Roque in January, xue to the club’s financial challenge.

However, Xavi has insisted that he was assured by the club’s new sporting director, Deco, that Roque will come in January.

“Deco told me that Vitor Roque will come in January. In principle, there will be no problems,” Xavi said in his press conference on Friday.

Barcelona lack a bit of depth in attack, with Robert Lewandowski currently the only centre-forward at the club right now.

According to reports, La Liga may not allow Barca to register the player considering their wage bill restrictions for this season.

Deco and Joan Laporta will definitely find a way around this.
