Ronald Araujo and Pedri are expected to miss the tie against Real Betis tonight.

Ilkay Gundogan had a little back injury, and Xavi gave a positive update on the German when addressing the media.

Giving an injury update on the team, Xavi said: “Gundogan had the blow on his back.

“We will see how he is today and we will decide tomorrow, although in principle he should be fit to play tomorrow.

“Araújo is also progressing well. If all goes well, Araujo will return this week.”

Xavi also confirmed that Barca have come up with a  prevention plan to control the incessant injuries the team is suffering.

“All players have an injury prevention plan,” Xavi said.

“We should not focus on Pedri. There are injuries in all teams due to the demanding schedule. It’s inevitable with stress and fatigue.”
