Poland were recently beaten 2-0 by football minnows, Albania.

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski captained his country for this game, and admitted afterwards that he cannot explain Poland’s defeat to Albania.

Lewandowski admitted to feeling “powerless” and “incapable of explaining the reasons” for defeat in Tirana.

“We’ve had problems since the beginning of the qualification phase,” said Lewandowski.

“What happened to a team that used to play much better with almost the same line-up?

“I know we have the potential to play better and win,” he concluded.
