Ousmane Dembele was just beginning to reach great form for Barcelona, before he moved to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Frenchman had struggled under previous Barcelona bosses, but picked form under Xavi.
However, Dembele decided to leave Barca for PSG during the summer transfer window.
The France international has claimed that he was keen on a return to France, and that the PSG project attracted him.
Dembele told Telefoot: “I spoke with the coach (Luis Enrique) and president Al-Khelaïfi. They told me about the project and I was also excited to play in France again.
“Everything is good at PSG, we have a great coach and I liked the president’s speech.”
On France, he added: “It is the team in which I have learned the most. The team is very good. All positions are doubled with quality players who play in the best teams in the world. There is a lot of competition, but that is good for the team and puts pressure on you.”
