Lionel Messi has made matching and breaking records a norm.

The Argentine scored a stunner against Ecuador on Friday, to mark his 65th career free-kick.

Messi also equalled Luis Suarez’s big South American record.

With 29 goals apiece, Messi and Suarez now share the record as the most prolific scorers in South American World Cup qualifiers.

Expect Messi to break it with his next goal for Argentina, which will be soon.

Suarez however took to Instagram to congratulate his friend.

“How great you are, fatty! I admire you, what you keep doing and demonstrating. Congratulations for tying me,” his message reads.
