Barcelona were able to secure some transfer deadline day signings before the end of the transfer window.
Barcelona sealed a deal for Joao Felix. The Portuguese joins Barca on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid. There is no buyout option in the deal.
Barcelona also signed Joao Cancelo from Manchester City on loan.
The 29-year-old Portuguese joins Blaugrana on loan until the end of the season, having spent last season on loan with Bayern Munich.
Felix said of his transfer: “I’m very happy. It’s always been one of my goals to be here since I was a child and started playing football. In the end it happened. I’ll make the most of this opportunity, give everything for this club. I hope this can be the best year of my career. A year full of victories and titles.
“I’m looking forward to train tomorrow so I can help the club and they can help me.”
Cancelo said: “Well, I’m very happy to join this great club. To play here. It’s a dream come true. It’s one of the clubs I dreamt of playing since I was a child. The other one is Benfica, and I already played there, so I’m very excited.
“A lot of my childhood heroes player here. I think it’s going to be an exciting season. Hopefully, we’ll win titles. I know this club plays good football. I believe my playing style fits perfectly here. I’m going to give my best so that everything goes well.”
