Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has been linked with a move away from Barcelona since last season.
Fati’s father is keen to see his son leave the Blaugrana, while Fati had said he wanted to stay.
But it seems the 20-year-old has had a change of heart.
Ansu Fati has reportedly made the decision to leave Barca after a crunch meeting with his Bori Fati and his agent Jorge Mendes.
Ansu already has concrete offers from Tottenham and Chelsea, and is said to be interested in a move to the Premier League.
According to a report by Helena Codis of COPE, this is 75% sure to be Ansu’s final decision.
It’s now up to Barca to decide on a loan deal or an outright sale.
The transfer window ends on Friday midnight with teams expected to complete their transfer deals before then.
Back in March, Ansu Fati’s dad lashed out at Barcelona for the treatment of his son.
“Ansu wants to continue at Barca. I, as a father, think otherwise,” Bori Fati told Cope.
“Ansu deserves much more, we’re talking about Barcelona’s ‘10’
“I’m angry, it’s true. As a father, I see Ansu play very little and it upsets me, but I think as a father, not as a coach.
“Physically Ansu is very fit. Now he has more speed and is more explosive than before. Because when he has confidence, he has more speed.
“I have my box at the Spotify Camp Nou, but I’m not going anymore, I’m very angry.
“I have recommended to Ansu a change of scenery but he doesn’t agree. Ansu is not angry with Xavi, he sees him as his idol.
“But in a month we will meet with Jorge Mendes, for sure.”
On whether Ansu will play at Barca in the 2023-24 season, Bori Fati said: “For Ansu yes. It will depend on what Barca wants. If it’s for me, I want to see Ansu succeed, because he is a guy who comes to succeed. There are things you can’t discuss.”
