Lamine Yamal has been very brilliant in the few games he has played for Barcelona this season.

At age 16, Yamal oozes such a great personality that isn’t associated with players around that age.

The youngster was again brilliant against Villarreal, and Xavi hailed his performance.

For Xavi, the youngster is only lacking in his defensive contribution.

“Lamine Yamal has difficulties when defending, but this is normal. He’s only 16 years old, and what he gives us in attack backs up for it,” Xavi has told the media.

“Expectations are very high because that’s what you see. He is not a starter because of the coach’s whim, but because of what he does. His decision-making is almost always the best and often the best. That is the most difficult thing in football. He is extraordinary.

“His talent is valued. He is a differential player.”
