Ronald Araujo is definitely seen as the most important defender at Barcelona at the moment.

The Uruguayan however recently suffered a hamstring injury, and will now spend up to a month on the sidelines.

Barcelona are short in defence at the moment – especially at right-back. Araujo was temporarily deployed at right-back before his injury.

Barca are set to sign Joao Cancelo to fill that void. But Xavi knows he needs a player there before the arrival of Cancelo.

Diario Sport has claimed that Xavi is considering deploying Marc Casado on the right while Jules Kounde will pair with Andreas Christensen in  centre-back.

The 19-year-old featured during pre-season, and is said to have impressed Xavi.

The youngster has been called up to the first team on several occasions and even featured in the Champions League already, but is yet to make his debut in La Liga.
