Barcelona are set to announce the signing of Joao Cancelo from Manchester City.

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona and Man City have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ over a move for Joao Cancelo.

The deal for the 29-year-old is a loan deal, with an option to buy. Barca’s purchase option is not obligatory, however it will be triggered on certain conditions.

The transfer fee has been reported to be slightly over €30m, if Barca want to sign him on a permanent deal, that is, if he either plays 70% or more games for Barca or if Barca reach the Champions League Round of 16.

Barca have since held talks with Cancelo. So personal terms is expected to be wrapped up easily.
