Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has once again reiterated his love and loyalty to Barcelona, after spending almost his entire career at the Camp Nou.

Messi moved to PSG in 2021, amid the club’s financial crisis.

The Argentine who is flourishing in the MLS, since signing for Inter Miami, recently held his first press conference with the American side.

Messi said: “Me going to Paris was neither planned nor desired. I did not want to leave Barcelona.

“It was from one day to the next. I had to quickly get used to a new place after so many years in Barca and it became difficult, but luckily it is very different from what is happening to me now in Miami. I am happy here.”

Inter Miami are yet to lose a game since Messi made his debut at the club.

Messi has already bagged nine goals in just six appearances for his new side already.

Interestingly, he will have a chance to secure his first trophy with Inter Miami this weekend, when the MLS side face Nashville in the Leagues Cup final.
