Key Barcelona player miss out as UEFA names top ten players of last season

UEFA have released a list of top ten players who stunned for club and country last season.

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi made the cut, as well as summer signing Ilkay Gundogan. However, there was no room for Robert Lewandowski who had a wonderful season, as he was top scorer in the La Liga, which was won by Barcelona.

The top three in the list are Lionel Messi, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland.

The aforementioned trio will fight to be named UEFA Best Player on August 31.

6. Kylian Mbappé (France & Paris) – 82 points

7. Luka Modrić (Croatia & Real Madrid) – 33 points

8. Marcelo Brozović (Croatia & Al Nassr) – 20 points

9. Declan Rice (England Arsenal) – 14 points

10. Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina & Liverpool) – 12 points
