Paris Saint-Germain refused to terminate the Brazilian’s contract and then had the option to sell him for €90m, no thanks to the Saudi money.

Deco has explained why the deal was just impossible to strike.

“Everyone knows it would’ve been impossible to sign Neymar given our current financial situation,” Deco revealed to the media.

“We needed an understanding with PSG or a new formula [loan] with Saudi which did not happen.”
