Joao Felix has been the subject of ridicule from Atletico Madrid fans, following his desire to play for Barcelona.

Joao Felix was insulted by Atletico Madrid fans after their game against Granada, as he stepped out to train with the players who didn’t play the game.

Felix was an unused substitute, and Atletico fans chanted “this Portuguese guy, son of a bi*** he is” as soon as Felix stepped out to train.

The chants continued until the coaching staff had to call off the training session with Felix walking away dejected.

The Portuguese star sat separately from his teammates on the Atletico bench as he remained an unused substitute.

Joao Felix had said last month that he wants to play for Barcelona.

“I’d love to play for Barcelona. Barca has always been my first choice and I’d love to join them,” Joao Felix said in an interview last month.

“It was always my dream since I was a kid. If it happens, it will be a dream come true for me.”
