Barcelona were overwhelming favourites to beat Getafe away at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium.

However, the game ended in a goalless draw, as Barcelona couldn’t score a goal.

Barca’s rivals, Real Madrid, won their opening game against Athletic Bilbao, and the Blaugrana are already two points behind in the race for the La Liga title.

Xavi is however unbothered, and believes his team can go on to win the league, just like last season.

“In the second half [against Getafe] we were good. We tried it, and with 10 players we were very good too. We had the chances but didn’t convert them,” Xavi said after the game.

“We also started the season with a draw last time. I’m proud of the team for how they’ve tried.”
