Barcelona are set to complete the signing of Joao Cancelo from Manchester City.

The Man City defender is expected to join the Catalan club on loan with an option to buy.

Barcelona have already secured Ilkay Gundogan from Pep Guardiola’s side, and are now chasing the Man City fullback, with the deal believed to be very close.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Cancelo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has assured Barça that the signing of the 29-year-old is ‘almost a done deal’.

With Barcelona in pursuit of a right-back, the club has been linked with other alternatives such as Ivan Fresneda and Joan Foyth. However, those deals won’t be happening anymore, as Cancelo seems to be sure now.
