Former Barcelona star Neymar Jr has been linked with a return to Barcelona.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Miguel Sanz of Diario Sport has claimed that Neymar has reached a complete agreement to return to Barcelona.

The twist to it is that Barcelona have arranged with a Saudi club to sign Neymar.

The plan is to have a Saudi club sign Neymar and send him on loan to Barca for a season before he returns back to Saudi Arabia.

According to Miguel Sanz, Al Hilal is the Saudi side in question. Neymar will play for them for three seasons after playing for Barca in the 2023/24 season.

Barcelona can’t afford to pay Neymar his PSG wages, and have told the Brazilian that they will only pay a salary of €12m net to sign him – which is three times less than what he currently earns at PSG.

Neymar may end up returning to Barcelona, but we are unsure if it’s through this route.
