Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing up Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen.

According to Spanish media outlet Nacional, the Red Devils have submitted a €45million bid for Andreas Christensen.

Barcelona picked up Christensen on a free after his Chelsea contract expired last summer and he played a key role as Barcelona won the Spanish league last season.

According to Catalan newspaper Nacional, Manchester United have launched a bid of €35 million (£26million) plus €15 million (£13million) for the 27-year-old.

While losing Christensen would be a considerable blow for Xavi Hernandez, who has often spoken highly of his charge in public, Barca would contemplate offloading him for such an amount given their difficulties navigating Financial Fair Play limits.

Barcelona are reportedly open to selling Christensen to Manchester United if they receive all the money for his transfer up front.
