According to a recent report by the highly reliable Gerard Romero, Barcelona have put Marcos Alonso up for sale.
Alonso was signed last summer, and is a back-up to Alejandro Balde.
Alonso’s performance in pre-season so far has been far from encouraging.
Alonso was recently handed a new one-year contract at Barca which means he will remain at the club until the end of the coming season.
Barcelona are yet to receive offers for the left-back but that would change quickly as the transfer window nears its end.
The 32-year-old played 37 games last season and scored three goals. He may be involved in fewer games this season.
Sergino Dest is also another player that’s available for sale. While the club may decide to keep Alonso, there seems to be no place for Dest who was poor on loan with AC Milan last season, and has also struggled in pre-season games with the Blaugrana.
