Speaking to La Vanguardia, young Barca star Pedri, revealed that Xavi gave him the task of reaching 10 goals and 10 assists last season.

Pedri scored seven goals and provided just one assist across all competitions for Barca last season. With his season affected by the nasty injury he sustained against Man United in the Europa League Round of 16 clash, it was difficult for Pedri to attain his goal for last season.

Xavi has now revealed the target Barcelona manager Xavi has set for him for the 2023/24 campaign.

Pedri said: “Last year I had to reach ten goals and ten assists. 

“I didn’t manage it. When I came back from the holidays Xavi told me that this year I had to reach that mark.”

Hopefully, he gets his desired target this season.
