Ousmane Dembele is set to leave Barcelona this week, as PSG have triggered the release clause of the French star.

Dembele was a key player for Barca last season, and Xavi was looking forward to having him this season.

With Dembele now set to exit Barcelona, Xavi believes a right-back is really what Barca needs most.

“We have to reinforce the squad, I’m happy with the wingers we have but Dembele’s departure weakens us,” Xavi told reporters.

“I’m in contact with Mateu Alemany. We will need a pure right-back after Ousmane’s departure.”

Barcelona have been linked with a move for Manchester City right-back Joao Cancelo.
