Xavi has confirmed that Ousmane Dembele will be leaving Barcelona this summer.

PSG are expected to sign up the 26-year-old this week, after triggering Dembele’s release clause.

The painful part of the deal is that Barcelona will only receive €27m for the sale of the French winger, having signed him for €135m.

Dembele struggled in his initial years at the club, and even missed more than two seasons combined with injuries.

Xavi did not include Dembele in the squad for the game against Milan even though he travelled with the team to Las Vegas.

Speaking after the game, Xavi made the confirmation about Dembele’s future.

“Dembele came and told me he wanted to leave. He has an offer from PSG that we cannot match,” Xavi said.
