Barcelona won their third pre-season game of the summer, as they beat AC Milan 1-0.
Barca dominated the game from start to finish, with Ansu Fati scoring a 55th minute goal to give Barca the win.
Speaking after the game, Xavi admitted that the team’s performance was better than the 3-0 win against Real Madrid.
“Today [against Milan] we’ve seen a great Barca again. For me this was our best performance in the US tour,” Xavi said after the game.
Barca were indeed deserved winners, and should have won the game by far more than the 1-0 scoreline.
After beating Real Madrid 3-0, Xavi admitted that the result was ‘misleading’. It’s good to see Xavi being honest in his assessments.
Next up for Barcelona is Tottenham Hotspur in the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 8, which will be the team’s final pre-season clash before facing Getafe on August 13 in our opening La Liga game of the season.
