Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez put in a top class performance against Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old came on as a second-half substitute, and put on a show.
Firstly, he scored his first-ever Barcelona goal with an outstanding effort from outside the box late in the game. After a few minutes, he also provided Ferran Torres with a brilliant assist for Barca’s third against the Los Blancos.
Fermin Lopez goal was a masterclass, and the 20-year-old puts it down to passion, having been a Culer since as a kid.
Speaking on scoring his first Barcelona goal in the 3-0 win over Real Madrid, Fermin Lopez said: “I am living a dream. I can’t believe what just happened.
“My goal? Well, I saw the ball, I saw the target and I hit it with my soul. I’ve been a Culer since I was a child. My family has had a hard time. I want to dedicate this goal to them.
“I would like to see myself here, in the USA, at the 2026 World Cup, but there is still a long way to go.”
The goal has put the 20-year-old on the map, as Xavi has confirmed that he’d be part of the Barca squad for next season.
