Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez put in a top class performance against Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old came on as a second-half substitute, and put on a show.

Firstly, he scored his first-ever Barcelona goal with an outstanding effort from outside the box late in the game. After a few minutes, he also provided Ferran Torres with a brilliant assist for Barca’s third against the Los Blancos.

Fermin dedicated the goal to his family.

“My family have had a hard time. I want to dedicate this goal [against Real Madrid] to them,” Fermin Lopez told the media after El Clasico.

Meanwhile, Xavi has confirmed that the 20-year-old won’t be leaving on loan this summer.

“Fermin Lopez will not leave [Barca] on loan. He will stay with the first team this season,” Xavi said after the game.

“We don’t have any exceptions for players. He trained very well. We think he can help us throughout the season.”
