Barcelona were 3-0 leaders against Real Madrid, in the friendly game played against the Los Blancos in the US.

It was a shocking result, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men were favourites to win the tie.

Ousmane Dembele had given Barca the lead early in the first-half, while Vinicius Jr missed a penalty five minutes later.

Barca would go on to score two late goals to seal a 3-0 victory.

Speaking after the game, Barca boss admitted that the score didn’t reflect the true nature of the game. Xavi chose to be humble after the win, and claimed that his side still needs a lot to improve on.

After the game, Xavi said: “I think the result could have been different. It’s misleading. The result is very favourable, but it doesn’t mean we’ve had a great game. Madrid has a much larger squad than ours.

“They were bringing out players and they have a range of possibilities. They have a great squad. I’m satisfied with how we competed, but there are many things that need to be improved and, in many moments, we resembled what we want to be.”
