Xavi has sent out a clear message to the club board, following Barca’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid.

Barcelona bounced back from the defeat to Arsenal, to change the narrative against Real Madrid.

However, Xavi used the medium to tell the board that more signings ought to be made ahead of the new season.

Speaking after the 3-0 win over Real Madrid, Xavi said: “Despite the result and the euphoria, we need something more.

“Hopefully we can strengthen ourselves further. The sports management knows it and the President knows it.”

Barcelona have so far signed up Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu.
