Recent reports claim that PSG are preparing for life without star man, Kylian Mbappe, and the French giants are now being strongly linked with a move for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.

According to reports, PSG have already started talks with Dembele’s entourage over a possible transfer, and are ready to offer him a better pay than what he’s getting at Barcelona.

New Barca’s sporting director, Deco was ‘alarmed’ to learn Ousmane Dembele’s low release clause.

According to Sport, Deco sent a serious warning to Barca in June asking them to fast-track his contract renewal to avoid the clause being triggered by a big-spending European club.

Deco’s warning to Barca has now come true as PSG have contacted Dembele about a possible move.

Dembele has a release clause of €50m, and insiders say if the clause is triggered, Barca will only get €25m of that money, with the remainder going to the player and his entourage. This will be a huge loss for Barca who spent €135m to sign Dembele from Dortmund in 2017.

So far, Dembele hasn’t shown interest in leaving Barcelona. But you can never say never in football.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that PSG are indeed keen on triggering Dembele’s release clause, but it all depends on whether the France international wants to leave Barcelona.

“PSG are focused on Ousmane Dembele by activating contacts to trigger his €50m release clause,” Fabrizio Romano has said.

“But again, nothing done yet. It depends on Dembele.”
