A number of Barcelona players didn’t feature in the friendly clash against Arsenal.

Gavi and Clement Lenglet were the two senior players who didn’t get on the pitch, even though they were on the bench.

Xavi explained that their absence was due to some level of pains and discomfort.

“Gavi didn’t play due to some back pain, Lenglet also has discomfort,” Xavi said.

Highly-rated youngster Mikayil Faye was also on the bench despite having been involved in training. Xavi plans to ease the young defender in gradually.
