Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has vowed to remain at the club, despite his poor performances last season.
Torres has been one of the names touted to leave the club this summer, after his struggles last season.
However, the 23-year-old has vowed to impress in the coming campaign, and has said he won’t be leaving the club this summer.
“The names on Barca transfer list are placed by the journalists. I have a contract here, I’m going to stay. I don’t care what is said about me. I’m going to work like anyone else,” Ferran told reporters after the game against Arsenal.
“I am the first self-critic, it was not a good season last year but I learned a lot. These ups and downs have helped me to be stronger now.”
Torres scored in the 5-3 defeat to Arsenal, and when speaking after the game, he said: “We wanted victory, but Arsenal was very intense.
“We lacked rhythm, we were imprecise and the pitch didn’t help. Now it’s time to think about Madrid, train hard and get up to speed.”
