Lionel Messi currently has an issue with his club, Paris Saint-Germain, and has been given a two-weeks suspension.
The former Barca star travelled to Saudi Arabia for promotional reasons, as he’s massively paid by the oil-rich nation, to promote tourism in the country.
Messi had travelled to Saudi Arabia, following PSG’s 3-1 defeat to Lorient, but was suspended afterwards.
Nantes head coach Antoine Kombouare, has bemoaned the treatment of Messi, and called it shameful.
According to Kombouare, Messi doesn’t deserve the treatment he’s getting in the French league.
“I don’t give a toss about what happens on the pitch or the problems at PSG. I love the player [Messi]. One should not touch Messi whatever he does,” Nantes head coach Antoine Kombouare has told the media.
“Right now we’re coming down on the guy, it’s shameful… If he leaves [France], I’ll be very happy. We don’t deserve him.”
Messi has recently issued an apology letter to the club.
“I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always. I had this trip organized and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already canceled it before,” Messi has said in a fresh statement.
“I apologise to my teammates, the club, and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do with me.”
