Barcelona have been linked with a move for Manchester City Ilkay Gundogan, and a deal is expected to be wrapped up this summer.

Gundogan will leave Man City as a free agent, and has attracted massive interest from Barcelona.

Gundogan is also said to be interested in a move to Barcelona.

However, Barcelona’s pursuit of Gundogan may lead to the exit of another midfielder, given the number of central midfielders at the club already.

According to reporter Javi Miguel, Barcelona could seek a departure for Franck Kessie if Gundogan is eventually signed.

Kessie has commanded a strong interest from Italy, with several top clubs interested in him. There have been reports that both AC Milan and Inter Milan are keeping tabs on him.

Barcelona reportedly held talks with Inter about Kessie in January, with the two parties close to reaching an agreement over a move. The deal failed to go through at the end.

Kessie who struggled to impress at the start, has been impressive of late and scored a last-minute winner against Real Madrid in the league.
