Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Joao Mendes, the son of Ronaldinho.

The 18-year-old will first join the U-19 side after impressing in his trials at the club.

Mendes has failed previous trials at the club, but impressed the club in his latest trial.

Mendes plays as a no.9 or a supporting striker, and has a big shoe to fill, as his father was one of the greatest of his time.
