According to reports, Barcelona full-back Sergi Roberto has agreed terms with Barcelona over a new deal.
The 31-year-old who can play multiple positions has said yes to Barcelona’s proposal to continue for another year, until 2024.
The documentation for the deal is being processed, and an official announcement is expected soon.
In the deal offered to Sergi Roberto, he’d have a new contract for one season plus an optional year if he plays a certain percentage of the games.
Another top source, Helena Condis, claims that the right-back will continue as one of the lowest-paid players in the squad despite being the vice-captain.
This season so far, Sergi has made 18 appearances (10 starts) for Barca, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
He has played at right-back, but he has also played in defensive midfield for the club.
