Martin Odegaard has been in top form for Arsenal this season, as the Gunners are fighting to win the Premier League, for the first time in two decades.
The 24-year-old has recorded 8 goals and 6 assists in 24 matches for the Gunners so far this season.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hailed Odegaard as the player of the season, and believes that the young midfielder could move to Barcelona in the near future.
Rio Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five podcast: “I would go as far as to say that, at this point, Martin Odegaard is probably my player of the year.
“If Erling Haaland eases up on goals, Arsenal wins the league and Odegaard continues like this, he is my player of the year.
“I only see Odegaard leaving Arsenal if it is for Barcelona.”
