Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has reserved massive praise for Barcelona star Sergi Roberto.

Sergi Roberto is expected to start at right-back against Inter Milan.

According to Xavi, the Spaniard has been training very well despite some of the criticisms targeted at him.

Xavi told the media ahead of the Champions League clash with Inter Milan: “I spoke to him [Sergi Roberto] last year, when there were doubts about whether he would extend his deal.

“It was clear to me. He is a very important wild card. He is a highly valued player despite the criticism.

“Sergi Roberto always trains well, always plays well and doesn’t give any problems. All coaches want players like him.”
