Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday that Ronald Araujo has had a successful surgery following his injury.
The Barcelona defender had a successful surgery following a right adductor injury he suffered on international duty with Uruguay.
A club statement reads: “UPDATE | Ronald Araujo had successful surgery this morning for his right adductor longus tendon avulsion.
“The surgery was performed by Dr. Lasse Lempainen under the supervision of Club medical staff in Turku, Finland. He is out and his recovery will determine his availability.”
The Uruguayan has undergone surgery in Finland and travelled back to Spain on Thursday, and is expected to be out for two months as he recovers.
