PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has slammed Barcelona’s spending over the summer transfer window.
The Blaugrana were in a tight financial situation for quite a while, and couldn’t even renew the contract of veteran Argentine Lionel Messi.
However, this summer was different for Barcelona, as the club activated up to four economic levers in order to sign up players and keep the club’s book in order.
Paris Saint-Germain have been known for their overspending on players over the past decade, and many believe they don’t meet FFP rules.
Surprisingly, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed that Barcelona’s activity was unfair and probably illegal.
“The activation of Barca’s levers is not fair. I’m not sure if it’s legal”, claimed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“UEFA have to do something about Barca and their levers. If UEFA allow it, other teams will do the same. UEFA have their regulations, they are going to analyse the situation.”
