Barcelona are set to earn a compensation from FIFA due to injury.

Several Barcelona players, including Memphis Depay, Jules Kounde, Frenkie De Jong and Ronald Araujo picked up an injury while away with their national teams.

According to FIFA’s Club Protection Program, if a player’s injury occurred while on duty with the international team and kept him out of action for longer than 28 days, the club would receive compensation.

With Araujo set to be out of action for over a month, Barcelona would be sure to get compensation from FIFA.

Araujo’s fixed salary will determine how much compensation money Barcelona would receive. The payment will be made directly to the club and will end on the day the player will come back to training.
