Former Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has aimed another dig at Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
According to Koeman, he wasn’t backed by the Barcelona president and his transfer targets weren’t met.
Koeman has revealed a situation where Laporta denied him the opportunity to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool before his transfer to PSG.
“I tried to get Wijnaldum but failed because the President wanted to annoy me more than bringing in a player,” Koeman told Dutch outlet AD.
“That delayed the operation, and for that reason, he opted for PSG. Otherwise, he would have played at the Camp Nou.”
