Pedri has had the best possible start to his Barcelona career, but the teenager has revealed that he has his eyes on the big prizes.

Last year, Pedri won the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy Award.

Pedri has now revealed that he’s targeting the Ballon d’Or.

“I hope I have the opportunity to win it someday, but it’s a very complicated award to win. You must be the best in the world. I have a lot to learn and must improve”, the player told SPORT as he reflected on many things, including his chances to win the Ballon d’or in the future.

One player that has earned the praise of the Barcelona manager is 19-year-old Pedri.

Xavi even believes Pedri can be compared to one of the greatest in the game.

“Pedri has to become decisive for our future. At 19 years old, he is comparable to the best footballers that have ever played here. We need to take care of him,” Xavi said after the Elche game.

“Pedri is a sensational player. He understands the game, and he can make the difference with his assists.”
