Lionel Messi is regarded by many as the best of all time, and is indeed Barcelona’s greatest ever player.
Messi won 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona, the Copa del Rey seven times and the Champions League four times.
Messi scored 672 goals in 778 games for Barcelona but ended his 21-year association with Barcelona by joining PSG in 2021.
Messi’s first year at PSG was far from his usual self as he didn’t reach his best heights in the Parc des Princes.
However, the Barcelona legend is firing on all cylinders this season for PSG.
Former Barcelona star Neymar, has explained that Messi struggled to cope with the change in his first year in France.
Neymar told DAZN: “He suffered, because the change was difficult for him and his family, but now he is better, he is at home.
“I want him to enjoy. We have many challenges ahead of us, and I’m sure we can handle everything.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said he’s working hard to ensure Messi returns to the club.
Laporta said: “I feel indebted to Leo Messi. I would like him to end his career in a Barca shirt, and be applauded at all the stadiums.
“I feel partially responsible for how things ended, and I feel that this is a temporary end and that we will make this dream a reality. At least that is the dream.”
