Former Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu, currently with Italian club Udinese, has revealed he would never return to Barcelona but is open to joining rivals Real Madrid.
He told Marca: “I’m really good here.
“In the summer I could have left but it didn’t happen, but I’m calm. If I had left it would have been just because it was a good option for all sides. Hopes for the World Cup? I’m a realist, I haven’t been called up for a long time. I don’t lose hope but I know there is a lot of competition.”
Asked about a return to La Liga, he added: “I’d like it because it’s Spain. I’ve talked to some clubs, let’s see you never know what can happen. I enjoy the present.
“Going back to Barcelona? No, I’ve already said that many times. And to Real Madrid? To arrive at Real Madrid how could I say no? It would be a great option for me.”
