Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez was pleased with his side’s performance in the 3-0 victory over Elche.
A Robert Lewandowski brace and a 41st minute strike from Memphis Depay sealed the win for Barcelona.
Speaking after the game, Xavi admitted he was very pleased with the team’s performance.
Xavi said: “I’m happy to have won. It was very important. After their red card, the match completely changed. We always have room to improve.”
“Before the red card, the match was more positional. After that, we enjoyed it. It felt quite easy, especially in the second half.”
Barcelona are so far unbeaten this season in the La Liga, and have gotten 16 points out of a possible 18. Barcelona have also scored 18 goals in 6 games and conceded just 1.
Speaking about the team’s start to the season, Xavi said: “We’ve had a good start to the season. I’m very grateful. Everyone is ready to play at any time, and you can see that. Everyone can make a difference.”
“16 out of 18 points is a good start. I am satisfied.”
