Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez has said he’s still angry over the Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
Despite playing a good game, Barcelona lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, as the Blaugrana couldn’t beat Manuel Neuer.
Speaking ahead of the weekend clash against Elche, Xavi has said that the defeat still pains him.
“I’m still angry after the defeat against Bayern,” Xavi said in his press conference for the Elche game.
“When you see the game and the missed chances, you think we should have won.
“We should have taken the three points. We have to improve our effectiveness and compete better at times. Football goes on.”
Xavi also revealed he has shown the players what they did wrong in the game.
Xavi said: “I talked to the whole team, and we showed them videos of their mistakes.
“They were unhappy with their missed chances. We played well, just missing the goal in a Champions League game where you shouldn’t miss so many chances.
“We played the game in Munich that we imagined and that we wanted, but we lacked the most important thing, which is the goal.
“The mistake in the corner, against an opponent like that, took its toll on us.”
