Barcelona are yet to score a single goal from a direct free kick since Leo Messi left the club.

Barca tend to have scoring opportunities in dangerous places from free-kicks, but have been unable to convert any.

A dangerous free-kick situation was presented to the team at the Allianz Arena. Robert Lewandowski and Marcos Alonso lined up to take the kick, but Lewandowski eventually hit it against the wall.

Former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has told his former side that his ex-Chelsea teammate Marcos Alonso is a good free-kick taker.

The Spaniard scored 6 free-kick goals during his time at Chelsea, and was a regular free-kick taker for the Premier League side.

“Marcos Alonso is a great free-kick taker. If he is given opportunities, the Camp Nou will see a lot of free-kick goals, no doubt,” Cesc Fabregas said.
